The People Behind SD Motion

Meet the team.
A privately-run business since 1984.

The wheelchair side of the business is known as SDMotion. It's part of Steering Developments with a team of 19 people working together to provide and support our mobility solutions and vehicle adaptations. Here are the five you'll speak to directly — from your first demo to ongoing aftercare.

Our History

From a small workshop in 1984 to a national name in mobility.

Steering Developments began over four decades ago with a simple idea: make vehicles and mobility products that give people real independence. From the earliest hand-controls to today's SD Motion wheelchair power systems, the same dedicated team has been quietly building, refining and supporting every step of the journey.
