SD Motion is available in three model configurations. SD Motion Assist when you need a little power assistance for your manual wheelchair, SD Motion Drive when you want joystick control and SD Motion Trike, when you want a more rugged solution that lets you explore beyond the payment and into the parks and woodlands.
Transform your manual wheelchair into a power chair with the SD Motion Assist add-on electric propulsion system. Programmed to suit your individual strength, the motion assist system has two speeds and is perfect for providing a little extra strength without the need to transfer to a fully-powered wheelchair.
Adding powered wheels to your wheelchair helps you travel longer distances and traverse slopes and ramps with ease. Powerful motors increase the forward motion from you pushing on the wheels to three times the power, allowing you to maintain your upper body mobility while providing an extra boost as you move.
Whether you’re at home, work or out and about, the SD Motion Drive delivers freedom of movement right to your fingertips! The SDMotion Drive converts your manual wheelchair into a joystick controlled electric powered version, with our add on power-pack. It's easy to operate with 5 speed levels and individually adjustable driving modes to put you in total control.
And with its lightweight, compact design which can be fitted to a wide range of manual chairs, its transportability (even for holidays) plus the long distance range of around 16 miles with the Li-ion battery, the SD Motion Drive offers you a practical and flexible solution for maximum independence.

"Jeff was brilliant all through the project, and when he delivered the chair back to Heidi he gave full instructions on how to use and maintain the chair. Heidi finds the chair very comfortable and the SD Motion Drive system promotes her independence by enabling her to explore more places with her carers. They can now go through wooded areas and on rougher terrain. The carers like the fact that there is no hard physical work in pushing the chair."

I'm lucky to be being to able to trial the SD Motion Trike to see how it suits my needs. Went for a local ramble and as an ex cyclist it was nice to be out on different terrains. No back pain great bonus! It coped with uneven ground well as well as large gravel as us wheelies know gravel is often not our friend. You don't feel the bumps really either & it copes with cambers well too. You don't feel like your’re going to tip over!
